Greetings from the Cross County Sheriff's Office!

As you may know, our Sheriff's office has been in the process of updating
our website so we can better inform the public. The first quarter of this year
we updated the site with a new look and added a few new features like
Press Releases, Message from the Sheriff, Most Wanted and our Jail Roster.

In updating our website and with the help of our community we were able to
arrest 27 off our Most Wanted since May of this year. The news media
was able to pick up our stories a lot easier with the ease of online Press Releases. The phone calls coming into our office, has been cut down by 90% since we added the jail roster online.

We want to always think of new ways to better inform the citizens of Cross County, so we have been working on some new features this last quarter to do so. We have now added the following features to our website.

Sign up for Email Alert Notifications - Stay in the loop - Sign up to receive updates from CrossCountySheriff.org. You will be among the first to know about new items published to our site.

E-newsletter - Read updates on laws and events that affect the Sheriff's Office and the community.

Employment - View available job opportunities, both part-time and full time, with the Cross County Sheriff's Office as they are posted.

Hot Cases - Help the Cross County Sheriff's Office by providing tips on important unsolved cases. We are asking for your assistance in solving these cases that have "gone cold."

Public Forms and Information - View forms available online like Eviction Packets, Protection Order, Criminal Summons, and Juvenile Affidavit.

Crime Tips and Prevention - Information online as a public resource to encourage community policing efforts. Includes a brief explanation of the crime prevention and hotline tips program.

Most Wanted and Sex Offender Slide Show - will allow the viewer to select to display the currently posted Most Wanted profiles and Sex Offenders on their computer screen (rotating images). This tool will allow crime prevention organizations, businesses, schools and citizens to retain top of mind awareness.

Calendar of Events- view what's happening at your Sheriff's office and in our community.  If you want to add an event to the calendar, just email or fax the information to us.
