Cross County Sheriff J.R. Smith warns the public of a recent rash of automobile break-ins.  Please take all personal and tangible items out of your vehicles ( purse, wallet, change, Ipods, phones, identification, etc.).  If suspects can not see items that they want in the vehicle, they are less likely to break into the vehicle. Please lock your vehicles.

We are diligently attempting to catch these individuals, so if you see anyone suspicious or out of the ordinary after dark, please call the Sheriff's Office at 870-238-5700.

If possible try to get a description, such as male or female, race, clothing and direction of travel. Any information is helpful, no matter how small. Do not feel like it is a bother or not important enough to call. We are here to keep the public safe.
