On 01/26/2019 Cross County Deputies responded to a burglary in progress on CR 637. While responding to the scene it was discovered that a neighbor to the burglarized residence was following the suspect vehicle. The suspects stopped the vehicle in the area of Highway 193 south and Highway 284 west. The responding Deputies canvassed the area and located Kerria Crawford(29,Wynne) and Stanley Wilkins(33, Wynne) hiding under rice spill rack at a farm shop. Deputies located 0.6 grams of methamphetamine on Stanley Wilkins' Person. Upon inventorying the vehicle,  several firearms and other items that were later determined to be stolen from the residence. Detectives arrived to process the scene and a short time later the third suspect Kerry Jones (50, Forrest City) was located walking down a neighboring county road. During the course of the investigation detectives searched two separate residences in Wynne and recovered the majority of the stolen items. All three suspects were transported to the Cross County Jail and charged with the below State Statutes. The suspects will have a first appearance date of 01/28/2019 where they will be bound over to Circuit Court and a bond will be set.
