On 09-28-2019 Deputy James Melton was on routine patrol when he observed Bruce Jones riding a four-wheeler on a state highway.  Deputy Melton had previous knowledge that Bruce Jones had outstanding felony warrants.  Deputy Melton attempted to stop Bruce Jones at which time Mr. Jones fled the area, trespassing on private property, and causing damage to several acres of unharvested crops. Mr. Jones evaded capture at this time, however Mr. Jones was located and arrested without incident a short time after. Mr. Jones acquired the following charges during his attempt to escape

Fleeing A.C.A 5-54-125 (Class D Felony)

Criminal Mischief A.C.A 5-38-204 (Class A Misd.)

Refusal to Submit to Arrest A.C.A 5-54-103 (Class A Misd.)

Fleeing on Foot A.C.A 5-54-125 (Class B Misd.)

Criminal Trespass A.C.A 5-39-203 (Class C Misd.)
